The destination
A place for immersive support.
Château-Thierry is a short train ride from Paris, and more than a location: it's a town where history and everyday French life sit side by side. The Friendship House is somewhere to step away from the screen and into a room full of friends. We run mock interviews in a setting close enough to the real thing that the real thing stops being frightening, and we practise French together without anyone minding the mistakes.
Local belonging
From guest to neighbour.
The loneliest part of moving abroad is feeling like a visitor who has overstayed — especially when the language keeps you quiet at parties and your working life is on pause. We'd rather you felt like a neighbour. A real room to walk into builds the kind of local friendships a website never could: the person who rehearses a phone call with you before you make it, the one who passes on a job that suits someone still learning French, the one who knows which baker opens on Monday, the one who texts to ask how your appointment went. Nothing here is a matching service — it's just what happens when you turn up often enough that people notice when you don't.
